Understanding the Study
The Cost of Service Rate Study is a pivotal initiative undertaken by the Summerland Sanitary District’s Board of Directors to assess and adjust service rates based on current debt service, operational costs and future infrastructure needs. This study is crucial for maintaining fair pricing and ensuring that all community members contribute equitably to the sustainability of our wastewater treatment services. By aligning rates with actual service costs, we aim to enhance transparency and accountability, fostering trust within the community. The study’s findings will guide strategic decisions, ensuring that our district remains resilient and responsive to both current demands and future challenges.
