For a sewer lateral repair, or replacement, you need a District Sewer Permit. The repair of the property sewer lateral needs to be performed by a licensed plumber. 3. Description of the proposed work.

The total Permit Cost is $355 and includes an inspection at the job site of the plumbing repair, or replacement, by our knowledgeable staff. Often, after repairs or replacement are completed, the District requires a closed-circuit TV video. This video inspection will show the integrity of the pipeline and will be reviewed by District staff. This video review is an important last step, since it will inform all parties that the repair, or replacement has been performed correctly.

Payment of the administrative fees can be submitted by a check, made out to Summerland Sanitary District. Please include the property address. You may also pay online through the Bill Pay option, please note that a credit card convenience processing fee of 2.25% will be applied.
